FORMER BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond has given a regal seal of approval to leading Kendal developers.
Celebrating 50 years of business, Russell Armer Homes had special anniversary recognition at a glittering London gala ceremony.
Highly commended in prestigious UK Property Awards for landmark Kentgate Place in Kendal, Russell Armer is scooping up honours.
Construction director, Andrew Taylor, who received the award from Jennie Bond, said it was a welcome accolade from industry leaders.

Russell Armer's managing director, Martyn Nicholson, said the success was very special, particularly as it had come during half century celebrations. LANDMARK riverside apartments in an acclaimed £11 million development are short-listed for top building awards.


Already named the north's best large housing development, 46 luxury apartments at Kendal's Kentgate Place are finalists in both UK Property and Northern Design award competitions.

Winners of high profile UK Property Awards will be announced at a prestigious London gala dinner on October 28.

Meanwhile, Northern Design champions take to the stage at Manchester's Lowry Hotel on November 24, compèred by George Clarke, of Channel 4's Restoration Man.

Martyn Nicholson added: "We are celebrating our 50th anniversary and being nominated for top awards really makes this an exceptional milestone year."

Northern Design Awards - 2011 - We're on a Roll!!!

Russell Armer are on a roll today with notification that we have been shortlisted for another award for the Kentgate Development on the river bank in Kendal.

The award ceremony is held at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on the 24th of November.

The dynamic compère for the evening will be George Clarke, much-loved host of the Channel 4 series – ‘Restoration Man’.

The event will be covered by Livingetc magazine, OK Magazine, local glossies and both regional and national press.

Helping Macmillan Cancer Support

The work done by Macmillan Cancer Support across the county is an inspiration to our staff.


It’s our pleasure to help them out with funding whenever we can, and we were delighted to present Macmillan with a cheque for £553. A large part of the money was raised at our recent charity quiz night, which was generously supported by many local business people and also helped to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance. The total was topped up to £553 thanks to the sale of items such as artists’ impressions of houses to our customers.
